Gugu didn't come from a business plan – it came from a nursery. Co-founder Joachim is uncle to five nieces and nephews growing up in Styria, while he lives in Vienna. He loves them, but he isn't there every evening to read a bedtime story. From that feeling – wanting to be close despite the distance – came the idea: what if a child got a story in which they are the hero, read in a familiar voice, even across hundreds of kilometers? Today we are a small, passionate team from Vienna and Styria, combining technology and pedagogy to make exactly those moments possible – ad-free, safe, and for families everywhere.
